I have been buying these jeans for years now. Best carpenter jeans for me. All day…everyday. I wear them for casual and also for work. Fit is spot on. As for the pockets getting smaller, have not seen that. Side pocket, that most use for cell phone, has been holding my phone for years. Have the same size phone for about five years now. I do have a phone and not a book. I will keep buying until something changes.
